HOW CAN YOU HELP?

There is a critical need in our community to teach adults to read and become self-sufficient. Illiteracy creates a cycle of poverty, dependency, and hampers our economic growth.

We need additional resources, teachers, and mentors to meet the growing demand. CLC is unable to expand its services and reach more individuals without additional funding.

LONG-TERM VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY

BECOME A TUTOR!

We use tutors in our classrooms. Tutors enhance our classroom instruction by working with students who may need additional (one-on-one) help until they can understand all that is going on in class.

Our tutors play a significant role in building student self-esteem and in helping students build the most basic foundations necessary to succeed as new readers.

If you would like to join our team of volunteer tutors please call 405-524-7323, email dana@communityliteracy.com, or fill out the form at the bottom of the page. You must attend tutor training before volunteering in a classroom.
