Michael T. Leake Jr. was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Tim & Mary Leake. He attended Putnam City Public Schools where he proudly graduated from Putnam City North High School in May of 2009. The grandson of former Oklahoma All-American football legend, Buddy Leake, Michael followed in his grandfather’s footsteps by attending the University of Oklahoma where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in Business in 2013. During his time at OU, Michael was a Carl Albert Capitol and Community Scholar where he served as an intern for the Chief Clerk of the Oklahoma House of Representatives and the City of Norman, respectfully.
Michael is currently completing his final year of law school at Oklahoma City University School of Law, where he has been awarded a Cali Award for the highest grade earned in National Security Law. Michael is also a valuable member of the Law School’s Law Advancement Ambassadors, a select group of students who assist school administrators with the overall advancement of the Law School. Along with his duties at OCU, Michael is a legal intern at the Oklahoma City litigation firm of Wiggins Sewell & Ogletree, where he assists attorneys in various stages of litigation.
In addition to serving on the CLC board, Michael is honored to serve on the board of the Putnam City Public Schools Foundation, a not-for-profit foundation that is directly associated with Putnam City Public Schools and works to provide educational resources for students, teachers and parents through programs, such as STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math), ESL (English is a Second Language), and early childhood education programs. Michael proudly resides in northwest Oklahoma City.
