Posted on 04/21/2009

The annual campaign to raise money for the Community Literacy Centers Inc., 3707 S. Blackwelder Ave., is scheduled at 6:30 p.m. May 2 at the Beacon Club. The annual event, Private Reserve, includes wine, fine dining and a live auction.

Participating vintners will include Erba Mountainside Vineyards, Robert Keenan Winery, Hahn Estates, Smith & Hook Winery, Lucienne Vineyards, Joullian Vineyards, Toad Hollow Vineyards, Cycles Gladiator Wines and The Gabrielle Collection.

The vintners were provided by Rick Naifeh of Premium Brands.

The 2009 Private Reserve chairs are Kathy Lippert and Sheila Heim.

"I can't stress enough the importance of providing members of the Oklahoma City community the chance to make a better life for themselves," said Lippert. "CLC is changing lives every day by teaching people to read, who are in turn, changing the lives of their own families."

Richard and Jeanette Sias of Joullian Vineyards will be honored for their dedication and commitment to Private Reserve and Community Literacy Centers.  Joullian Vineyards has participated in Private Reserve for 15 years. Frankie Williams of Toad Hollow Vineyards will accept an award on behalf of her husband, Todd Williams, who recently died. Todd Williams was a founding vintner and supporter of Private Reserve.

Bank of Oklahoma and The Beacon Club are the headlining sponsors for Private Reserve. Patron sponsorships are $3,000 for a vintner table or $5,000 for a corporate headlining sponsorship. Individual tickets are $200.
