Established in 1987, Community Literacy Centers, Inc. (CLC) is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to teaching adults to read. Since its inception, CLC has helped over 24,000 individuals.

Dion Jones almost made it to his senior year of high school in Chicago. The fact that he made it that far is the scary part, Jones said. Why? This is a man who at age 43 used cue card to learn that A is for apple. He couldn't even read at a second-grade level.
